What can I do to be prepared for my one-on-one therapy session?

Get a good night's sleep the night before, drink lots of water and eat well during the day.

No alcohol to be consumed the day of your session or for 24 hours after the session.

What can I expect to feel after a one-on-one session?

Most of my clients feel better after a therapy session, some feel very calm, relaxed, happy, some feel

what I call a healing high, a rush of positive emotions, some feel tired, releasing negative emotions

from the body can cause some fatigue for a few days, it passes

and eventually will be replaced with clarity, understanding or a new awareness.

You may also feel a need to be alone or crave the quiet, changes will be happening on a deeper level,

your mind will be focused on creating those changes and want to block out any distractions.

What can I do to help the healing process?

For a few days drink lots of water, move your body, walk, dance, swim, grounding and meditation,

deep breathing exercises and rest, eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables to help the body emotionally detox.

Don't watch horror movies, use graphic online games, listen to heavy metal music,

avoid conflict and arguments and stay away from negative people or those who

make you feel drained, be around people who care, support and make you feel good about yourself.

How many one-on-one therapy sessions will I need?

That will depend on the issue and how long you have had it, most people need anywhere

from 4-6 sessions in my experience, some a few more. Most clients have fortnightly sessions,

to keep the momentum high and quicken the healing process.

What is expected of me while I am receiving therapy from A New Chapter Therapy?

You will be expected to listen to hypnosis recordings and do some exercises

at home to speed up the healing process. The clients who do the exercises

heal quicker, need less sessions, save money.

What is PLR therapy, past life regression therapy and

TTT, Total Transformational Timeline therapy?

Past life regression is a therapeutic technique that involves accessing memories and experiences from previous lives,

often through hypnosis. It is based on the belief that we have lived multiple lives and that these past experiences can influence

our current emotions, behaviours and beliefs.

This practice is used to help individuals understand and resolve issues in their present life by exploring and healing

the memories of their past lives.

In a PLR OR Past Life Regression therapy during hypnosis the subconscious mind

will lead the therapist to the past lives that are connected to your present-day issues and that are in need

of resolving, releasing or healing and will enhance and improve your current life experience.

TTT therapy or Total Transformational Timeline therapy is an exciting new therapy,

I created to heal you emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.

If regular therapy doesn't interest you, you may want to try TTT therapy.

This is a powerful approach to healing, consisting of 10 different techniques,

complete healing from the past, through the present and into the future.

TTT therapy heals the mind, body and spirit, a blend of psychological,

physiological and metaphysical techniques, leaving you feeling lighter, more at peace and stronger.

Does A New Chapter Therapy do teletherapy, or online therapy?

Through covid I did a lot of online therapy, honestly it is not my preferred way to do therapy,

if the client, lives interstate, physically challenged or doesn't drive, yes,

if not, I prefer to do them in person, it would depend on the circumstances.

I only heal trauma, PTSD and most anxiety-based conditions in person never online,

it is important my clients feel safe and supported and I cannot always provide that online.

What is an emotional detox?

Once you start the process of healing you may experience an emotional detox,

in my experience 7 out of 10 people experience little or no discomfort.

An emotional detox occurs when the mind and body are

releasing trapped or stagnant negative emotions, unprocessed painful memories or your body is purging excess cortisol

the stress hormone that is released in the body when we are feeling anxious, fear, sadness, anger or other negative emotions.

An emotional detox can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. If you do experience an emotional detox you

may feel worse before you feel better, just persevere it will pass, just be patient, be kind to yourself and rest.

In my experience 5 factors contribute to an emotional detox:

  1. Time, the duration of time you have had an issue.

  2. Your willingness to let go of your issue, for example if someone has hurt you and you are very angry at them and believe you have the right to keep that anger, you could create a conflict between the conscious and subconscious mind, a tug of war so to speak, one trying to release the anger the other trying to hang on to it.

  3. Fear, when negative emotions that are attached to your issue have been a big part of your personality, the unknown can be a little scary, if you have always been an angry person, what will life be like without the anger, especially if you believe your anger makes you stronger and without it you will be vulnerable and weak.

  4. Your willingness to forgive yourself for past decisions or actions.

  5. The amount of cortisol and negative emotions stored in the body.

Some of the symptoms of an emotional detox could be headaches, body aches, tiredness, stomach upsets, crying,

vivid dreams, trouble sleeping, flu-like symptoms, anxiety, irritability, sadness etc.

I don't think I can be hypnotised?

Everyone to some degree can be hypnotised, if you allow yourself to trust the process, Hypnotherapy

can help you, most people who believe they can't be hypnotised are either afraid or fear losing control,

hypnosis is just a relaxing, calm state where the subconscious mind can be accessed, this is where

your core thoughts, emotions and beliefs are stored. Your morals and ethics remain intact, you can't

be made to do or say anything against your will.  During Hypnosis you are still aware

of what is happening around you, you are not asleep, you can still think clearly, you will not get stuck

and can come out of hypnosis anytime you choose.

Because of tv and movies there is a stigma associated with hypnosis, Hypnotherapy is using hypnosis

to heal, a lot of what you see on tv is an illusion leaving a lot of people with the

impression the hypnotist has power over you, that simply is not true, you are always in control.
